ECHO EXPERT FACULTY: Nicole Garber, MD, Chief Medical Officer - Blackbird Health, Psychiatrist at Sahara - Behavioral Health

Dr. Garber, MD is board certified in General Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Obesity Medicine. She began her career at the Menninger Clinic, Houston, Texas where she worked primarily with eating disorders and borderline personality disorder. In 2015 she returned to Arizona where she worked on the adolescent unit at Rosewood. After leaving Rosewood she became the Chief of Psychiatry at The Meadows Ranch and Vice President of Psychiatric Services for Meadows Behavioral Health until the end of 2022. She also worked as the Chief Medical Officer at Alsana. She is currently serving as Chief Medical Officer at Blackbird Health and a Psychiatrist with Sahara Behavioral Health providing care to individuals with eating disorder, suicidality, non-suicidal self-harm, and trauma. She is passionate about providing exceptional patient care associated with eating disorders. She is also devoted to treating people with borderline personality disorder and utilizing her certificate in DBT. She has advanced training in Mentalization Based Treatment, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and completed her training in Child and Adolescent Psychodynamic Therapy through the Houston Psychoanalytic Institute.
