ECHO EXPERT FACULTY: Aris Mosley, MD, Psychiatrist/Medical Director, Valleywise Behavioral Health First Episode Center
Dr. Mosley is a District Medical Group provider and has served as the Medical Director of the Valleywise Health First Episode Center for the last six years. Born and raised in Central Phoenix and an alumna of Xavier College Preparatory, she always knew she wanted to become a physician.
Dr. Mosley attended Loyola Marymount University for her undergraduate studies and then graduated from the American University of Integrative Sciences St. Maarten School of Medicine. At the beginning of medical school, Dr. Mosley thought cardiology was her calling. At the end of medical school, she completed her psychiatry rotation, thinking she wouldn’t return to this type of work. The tears in her eyes and emotions she felt let her know, psychiatry was her calling.
She is extremely proud to work at Valleywise Health, where she not only completed her residency, but psychiatric training and fellowship as well. Dr. Mosley is certified by the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Adult Psychiatry and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Her goal when working with individuals that have a brain health disorder is to allow them to take an active role in their treatment and recovery through shared decision making. Dr. Mosley is also a faculty member of Creighton University, helping train the next generation of physicians.
