ECHO EXPERT FACULTY: Katherine H. Sanchez, PhD, Child Psychologist, Insight Psychology


Katherine H. Sanchez, PhD, is a licensed psychologist specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents, and families struggling with anxiety, depressive, and young child disruptive behavior disorders. Dr. Sanchez received her Ph.D. in School Psychology from The University of Northern Colorado and completed an APA-accredited internship in Clinical Psychology at the Southern Arizona Psychology Internship Center (SAPIC) in Tucson, AZ. After fulfilling her internship, she completed a Postdoctoral year and advanced to become a SAPIC Adjunct Faculty member, supervising predoctoral interns’ clinical placements.

Dr. Sanchez has received extensive training in understanding and working with families, provided professional clinical consultation to community mental health agencies and schools, and worked in a variety of treatment settings, including residential and day treatment centers, schools, primary care clinics, and Boston Children's Hospital. 

Dr. Sanchez is a strong believer that children and adolescents thrive best when they are part of a strong and healthy family system. She enjoys facilitating conversations to foster stronger and more fulfilling parent-child relationships, helping to craft an atmosphere for open and honest conversations, and providing a reparative attachment experience for all family members.
