ECHO EXPERT FACULTY: Chelsea L. Matteson, PsyD, Clinical Psychologist, Insight Psychology

Chelsea L. Matteson, PsyD, is an Arizona licensed Clinical Psychologist with a specialty in Neuropsychology. She has a passion for working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families, with a primary interest in pediatric neuropsychology, anxiety disorders, and working with athletes. Dr. Matteson earned her Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, and completed a postdoctoral residency with a focus in pediatric neuropsychology. 

In her career, Dr. Matteson has received extensive experience and training in delivering both psychotherapy and psychological/neuropsychological assessment services. Throughout her graduate and professional career, she has worked in a wide variety of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary treatment settings. Additionally, she is a member of the American Psychology Association, Arizona Psychological Association, American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology, and National Academy of Neuropsychology.

Beyond her academic and professional credentials, Dr. Matteson competed in gymnastics at the collegiate level, winning multiple National Championship titles, and coached young athletes prior to entering graduate school. Drawing on her experiences as an athlete, she aims to enhance her ability to help clients master the mental aspects of sports, fitness, rehabilitation, and competition.
