Dr. Hatch-Pigott graduated from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 1996 and completed her residency in pediatrics at the Children's Hospital of Iowa in 1999. She has 25 years of experience serving mostly low to middle income communities in the state of Hawaii and Arizona. She is also a foster-adoptive mother who has experienced first-hand the impact of significant behavioral health issues in this special population. In addition, she has cared for hundreds of foster children over the span of her career and knows how difficult it is to access mental and behavioral health services for her patient population. In 2019, she went back to school to obtain her Master of Social Work from Grand Canyon University with the express desire to impact outcomes of the foster care population. Since then, she has obtained her certificate in traumatic stress studies and is a certified trauma counselor. She is EMDR trained and is currently learning quantitative EEG (qEEG) brain mapping and neurofeedback.
