Atsuko Koyama, MD, MPH
Dr. Atsuko Koyama is a pediatrician who specializes in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Adolescent Medicine providing care at Valleywise Health Medical Center in Phoenix. She is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at University of Arizona, College of Medicine-Phoenix and serves on the Committee for Diversity, Inclusion and Equity for the University. She obtained her MPH from the University of California at Berkeley and completed her Pediatrics residency at Jacobi Medical Center in New York. Dr. Koyama completed her Adolescent Medicine fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital and her Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship at Boston Medical Center. Her research interests include the provision of contraceptives in pediatric emergency rooms and adolescent confidentiality issues. She works to improve the care of adolescents within the emergency room as well across the hospital system and advocates for reproductive justice and the well being of children and adolescents locally and nationally.
