This classroom includes the resources and archived recordings from the educational series, "Building Primary Care Providers' Capacity to Address Pediatric Emotional and Behavioral Health". Each recorded session will be uploaded within a week of the live sessions. Please note, the recorded sessions are available for on-demand viewing and not accredited for CME. Dr. Shivana Naidoo, MD is a board certified Child Psychiatrist and a board certified Adult Psychiatrist.  She is the founder of DoBetterMD, her integrative psychiatry private practice and consulting firm, which aims to help patients with mental health concerns do better.  She is an Attending at the Bradley REACH Virtual Partial Psychiatric Hospitalization Program where she cares for high risk youth in a virtual multidisciplinary team setting. She is also the host of the podcast  "Thinking It Through with Dr. Naidoo- Child Psychiatrist", which helps spread awareness and psychoeducation  to help youth and their families find the best mental health care possible.

Dr. Yoblonski has worked at Phoenix Children's in the Homeless Youth Outreach program and the Center for Resiliency and Wellbeing for the past eleven years. She currently works with homeless youth and families, foster children and youth, and survivors of sex trafficking. Trauma informed care is an area of interest due to the patients she works with. She has been working with the AzAAP Emotional and Behavioral Health Committee for the past two years.

Jeanne Varner Powell is currently the senior legal risk consultant for the Mutual Insurance Company of Arizona (MICA) Risk Team. In this role, she passes on to MICA insureds what she learned during 20 years of defending medical malpractice cases. She develops written content to educate physicians, advanced practice providers, and ambulatory care practices about medical professional liability risks. She also consults with insured physicians and their practices on risk management issues, risk reduction strategies, and improving patient outcomes. In addition, she contributes articles to local medical societies and other healthcare professional organizations and gives presentations on risk management issues to students enrolled in graduate medical education programs.

Prior to joining MICA in 2020, Jeanne defended hospitals, care facilities, physicians, and other healthcare professionals in Arizona medical malpractice cases. Outside the office, you can find her hiking, camping, or riding horses and chasing cows.

Dr. Keeshin is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah and the Associate Vice Chair of Research in Child Mental Health at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute.  He is a child abuse pediatrician and child psychiatrist, providing clinical care to children and adolescents with histories of child abuse and other traumatic experiences at Primary Children’s Center for Safe and Healthy Families. Dr. Keeshin receives funding for research and projects from SAMHSA, PCORI, NIMH and the State of Utah, all in the areas of trauma and suicide prevention. For example, Dr. Keeshin directs Pediatric Integrated Post-trauma Services (PIPS), a SAMHSA funded center of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network focused on empowering frontline pediatric providers to detect and respond to youth at risk for traumatic stress and suicide. Dr. Keeshin is the co-chair of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Child Maltreatment and Violence Committee and is a member of the AAP Council on Healthy Mental and Emotional Development Executive Committee.

Dorothy Davies Johnson, MD, FAAP is a retired Pediatrician, Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician and educator.  She is now a volunteer Consultant for The Center for Neurosciences Foundation in Tucson.

Dr. Johnson graduated from the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine (MD, AOA) and completed her pediatric residency at University of Rochester’s Strong Memorial Hospital. Her career included 7 years as UC San Diego pediatric faculty member, director of pediatrics in a community clinic, and 7 years in private practice.  She went on to specialized in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics (D-B Peds Boarded 2002-2009), and for 14 years directed a private multidisciplinary developmental-behavioral practice while working extensively with San Diego Unified School District personnel. Since retiring, she taught Human Development and Relations at Pima Community College for 10 years, served on a Pima County First Things First Neighborhood Partnership Council for 16 years, and currently sits on the AzAAP’s Advocacy Committee and it’s Emotional and Behavioral Health Committee, as well as a Child Parent Centers (Head Start) Committee.  She received multiple awards from regional and California state organizations in recognition of community leadership related to “Youth for Sober Driving” and child development and received the AAP Special Achievement Award via AzAAP in 2009 and 2022.

Since the legalization of recreational marijuana in Arizona, she has a special interest in educating the public and healthcare professionals regarding marijuana’s impact on the developing brain.

Dr. Lisa Boucek is a board-certified pediatrician and associate program director at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital/Valleywise Health Pediatric Residency Program. She earned her MD from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Phoenix Children’s Hospital/Maricopa Medical Center. Prior to medical school, she completed both a BS and MS in Microbiology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and trained as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. She is passionate about medical education, preventive care, mental health and advancing pediatric health.
