Congenital CMV: What Pediatric Providers Should Know

This activity is brought to you by AzAAP and is designed make participants aware of the transmission, prevention, and prevalence of cCMV nationally and in Arizona. It will allow participants to learn about hearing loss unique to infants/children with cCMV. As well as provide the best practices for the audiologic evaluation of infants and children identified with cCMV who are symptomatic and asymptomatic, with or without hearing loss. Participants will also increase their awareness and advocacy efforts for cCMV in Arizona.

Successful completion of the CME courses associated with the Meaningful Messenger Series, which includes participation in the activity, with individual assessment and feedback to the learner, enables the participant to earn 1.00 MOC points. For MOC credit, participants will be asked to complete a post-quiz (based on the content of the live activities) after the conclusion of the webinar. Learners will be provided with up to three opportunities to take and pass the electronic post-test containing a series of multiple-choice questions which correspond with the educational content of the course. Participants must successfully complete the post activity quiz with a minimum passing score of 70% or higher to receive MOC credit for this activity. Upon submission of the quiz and verification of the 70% minimum passing score requirement, participants will be granted credit.

In order to support the professional needs of its members, the AzAAP Continuing Medical Education (CME) program develops, maintains, and improves the competence, skills, and professional performance of pediatricians and pediatric healthcare professionals by providing quality, relevant, accessible, and effective educational experiences that address gaps in professional practice.
