NON CME RECORDING: ECHO Session 8: Advancements in ADHD Management: Medications and Beyond

In this presentation on the treatment of ADHD we will review stimulant and non-stimulant medications, including newer formulations and options.  We will identify practice parameters, dosing recommendations, and common dosage titration plans.

Beyond medications, we will explore non-pharmacologic interventions for ADHD and their critical role in a comprehensive treatment plan.  We will also consider the intersection of ADHD and school function, identifying educational supports and accommodations as key components in treatment planning.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to: 

• Identify and categorize medical treatments for ADHD, especially newer options 
• Recognize and communicate potential risks and benefits of these medications and formulate initial dosing titrations 
• Review evidence based non-medication interventions for ADHD and how to integrate them into a comprehensive treatment plan
• Employ their expertise to support their patients with ADHD in other settings
