Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:
- List possible etiologies of feeding disturbances other than behavioral causes: Eosinophilic Esophagitis, GERD.
- List various different approaches to managing acute and chronic constipation.
- Recognize the role of food elimination diets in ASD and give an example of when it would be appropriate to institute such a diet.
- Review the AAP Consensus Guidelines in Autistic patients and GI complications and utilize these guidelines in practice when caring for autistic patients.
